World Fertilizer,
Registration is now open for the 2017 4R Summit. The event will be held in Minneapolis 12 – 13 June. The Summit provides opportunities for those interested in nutrient management and stewardship to learn more about the 4R Nutrient Stewardship programme and hear how stakeholders across the country are implementing the 4R principles.
The 4R Summit will be held in downtown Minneapolis at the Radisson Blu, and a block of rooms will be available at a group rate. Registration and hotel information is available on the TFI website.
Attendees will hear from speakers about in-field implementation of the 4R principles, agribusiness involvement, government- and non-governmental organisation-supported initiatives, and details on projects funded through the 4R Research Fund. The agenda will feature concurrent breakout sessions, providing participants a choice of speakers and topics.
Fertilizer is a component of sustainable crop production systems, and the fertilizer industry acknowledges the need to use these nutrients efficiently. The 4R philosophy is an innovative and science-based approach that offers enhanced environmental protection, increased production, increased farmer profitability, and improved sustainability. The concept is to use the right fertilizer source, at the right rate, at the right time, with the right placement.
