Uzbekistan set to double EU fertilizer exports with new deal

Uzbekistan has announced plans to more than double mineral fertilizer exports to the EU to US$500 million per year as Uzkimyoimpeks LLC and Eudaira sign fertilizer export deal.
"In future the objective is to gradually bring exports of Uzbek mineral fertilizers to EU countries to US$500 million," the Central Asian country's Investment, Industry, and Trade Ministry said in a press release.
Leading Uzbek chemical companies presented their products at the Made in Uzbekistan stand at the SPACE 2026 international exhibition in Rennes, France on 15 – 17 September, as stated by the ministry.
"In the course of the exhibition, negotiations were held with European importers and distributors on expanding supplies of Uzbek mineral fertilizers to the EU market. The practical result was the signing of an agreement between Uzkimyoimpeks LLC and Eudaira that calls for delivering 10 000 t of mineral fertilizer to France by the end of 2026," the ministry said.
According to the UN Comtrade Database, EU countries imported US$233.5 million worth of fertilizer from Uzbekistan in 2025.
Uzkimyoimpeks, a division of chemical group Uzkimyosanoat, is the sole agent for the export-import operations of group companies.
