The company has been appointed as owner’s engineer for the delivery of Project Haber, Strike Energy’s US$3 billion 1.4 mtpa urea fertilizer production facility to be built in Western Australia.

The 2022 mining campaign is now underway and will run through to early October 2022 as per the permitted summer mining season.

The company focuses on enabling more transparent financing along the agriculture value chain with its buy-now, pay-later and supply chain financing offerings.

The company has commenced deliveries of Sulphate of Potash (SOP) from the Beyondie SOP Mine to local WA fertilizer manufacturer and distributor, CSBP Fertilisers (CSBP), as part of the inaugural sale under its offtake agreement with K+S Asia Pacific (K+S).

K+S begins covering its tailings piles at the Werra potash plant in Hattorf and Wintershall. Initially, with the start of construction on the tailings pile top in Hattorf, the focus is on the plateau covers, with the side covers to follow later.

The platform successfully uses of RNAi technology to maximise a plant's natural yield increase mechanisms, without any genetic modification, and was the result of a multi-year research collaboration between the two companies.

With the previously secured surface rights and Letter of Conformity under its environmental and social impact assessment, this gives the company all the necessary regulatory consents as it enters the pre-construction development phase.

The acquisition of Casa do Adubo is expected to result in additional run-rate sales of approximately US$400 million, increasing total Nutrien Ag Solutions annual sales in Latin America to approximately US$2.2 billion.

Following the official kick-off of the Milestone Phase 1 Project in mid-May, Western established its Executive Committee and Technical Committee to advance the project more effectively.

The joint venture aims to build a state-of-the art facility.
