DuPont symposium focuses on sulfuric acid recovery technology

DuPont Clean Technologies (DuPont) recently held a dedicated symposium in Dubai from 15 - 17 September 2019, the final day of which focused on best practices in sulfuric acid recovery. The event was attended by leading refiners from the Middle East and India.

Workshop participants were treated to a range of seminars on best practices for decomposition/furnace operation, conversion and maintenance. Presenters shared guidelines, case studies and insights in design, operations, maintenance and controls, gained over years of working with the refining industry.

Michael Cherry, Global Business Manager, Alkylation Aftermarket, STRATCO^® Alkylation said, “Events like this symposium are important for the refining industry to understand and assess the range of options available to them for alkylation and sulfuric acid recovery.”

Malawi fertilizer plant gets green light

The MEPA has approved of the start of operations for the Mulalo Granular fertilizer production facility in Mchemela, Dowa District, Malawi.
