Clariant CEO retires

Clariant has announced the retirement of Ken Golder, who serves as North America Region Head as well as President and CEO of both Clariant Corp. and Clariant Canada Inc. Golder’s retirement will be effective on 30 June having served 18 of his 35 years with Clariant as North America Region Head.
Effective 1 July, Deepak Parikh will become Region President for Clariant's North America operations as well as CEO of both Clariant Corp. and Clariant Canada Inc. Parikh recently served as Clariant's Region President for India as well as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd. Previously, he worked with DuPont and the Dow Chemical Co. in the USA and Asia where he held various global and regional leadership roles with demonstrated success in mergers and acquisitions, integration, transformational leadership and visionary change management.
Parikh studied chemical engineering at Bombay University (UICT) and earned a Ph.D. in engineering from University of Tennessee and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from University of Utah. He holds 45 US patents.
