Uralkali announces management change

The potash producer Uralkali has announced that Vitaly Lauk has been appointed the new CEO of the company by its Board of Directors, effective 4 December 2020. He will succeed Dmitry Osipov in this position, who will resign on 3 December 2020 to focus on the company’s other projects.
Dmitry Mazepin, Chairman of Uralchem’s Board of Directors and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali, commented: “We are grateful to Dmitry Osipov for the significant contribution he has made to Uralkali’s development. Under his leadership, the company has retained its leading position in the global potash market by implementing investment projects and corporate governance initiatives, introducing advanced technology for the production and processing of potash and successfully communicating with key stakeholders, as well as consistently executing its socioeconomic policy in the region of operations.”
Dmitry Osipov, current CEO of Uralkali, commented: “I would like to express my gratitude to the shareholders, the Board of Directors, the management team and employees of Uralkali for their help and support. My work at Uralkali has enabled me to gain invaluable managerial experience, new skills and expertise, which has been possible largely due to the company’s effective positioning in key potash markets.”
Vitaly Lauk, current Technical Director and newly-appointed CEO of Uralkali, commented: “I recognise that my appointment reflects a deep level of trust on the part of both our shareholders and the Board of Directors.
