Zuari Agro Chemicals to invest in urea plant revamp

Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd has reported plans to invest Rs 1300 crore to modernise the ammonia-urea plant in Goa, increasing the capacity from 1350 tpd to 1800 tpd.
Zuari Agro Chemicals commented in a BSE filing: “The Board of Directors of the company has approved the integrated revamp of the ammonia-urea plants at a cost of approximately Rs 1300 crores.”
Following the update, the plant will be one of the most energy-efficient plants in the region.
