Eurotecnica announces 160 000 tpy capacity melamine plant

Eurotecnica, has announced the award of the contract for the implementation of the world’s largest melamine plant with a nameplate capacity of 160 000 tpy.

Xinjiang Xinlianxin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd has selected Eurotecnica’s 5th generation (G5) Euromel® melamine technology for the design and implementation of this landmark project. Once commissioned, this plant will lift XLX’s total capacity to 1000 tpd of melamine, which is a record for this industry.

More than 28 melamine plants worldwide, accounting for 1.3 million tpy in licensed nameplate capacity, have adopted Eurotecnica’s technology. The contract for the second largest melamine plant project was also awarded to Eurotecnica in 2022 by Xinji Energy Chemical Co. Ltd which has a capacity of 120 000 tpy.
