Production resumes at ammonia plant in Arkansas

World Fertilizer,
This follows an earlier announcement by the company, which stated that the plant was taken out of service after a power outage led to tube failures in the ammonia plant’s boiler on 4 June.
In the statement, LSB claims that, whilst the plant was out of the service, the decision was made to pull forward work that was previously planned for the September 2018 turnaround. This shortens the planned turnaround in 3Q18 to just five days. Originally, this was meant to last 12 days. The reduced turnaround time will result in additional third quarter production and reduced turnaround expense.
