The CEO of Engro Fertilizers Ltd, Ruhail Mohammed, has asked the Pakistani government for an extension of the urea export deadline. Engro Fertilizers has asked for the extension to reach December 2017 in order to manage their surplus production.

300 000 t of urea were approved for export by April 2017, by the government, and Engro wishes this approval to extend to 1 million t of urea to prevent any product damage.

The Express Tribune quoted Mr Mohammed saying: “We urged the government to extend the deadline in April, but they haven’t responded.”
