Conval has announced that it will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on 7 November 2017.

The Clampseal and Camseal high performance, severe service forged valve manufacturer was founded in 1967. Its original 3000 ft2 facility on Field Road, Somers, US, has been expanded several times, with two adjacent buildings also having been constructed. The site now has an overall size of 50 000 ft2.

The company serves end-users in the power generation, energy production, chemical, fertilizer, pulp and paper industries, as well as agricultural and engineering firms, OEM boiler and turbine manufactures, the US Department of Energy, US Air Force and US Navy.

In order to bring its operations under one roof and meet future demand, Conval bought the former Quad Graphics building at 96 Phoenix Avenue in Enfield, and is currently renovating the facility to meet its needs. The company anticipates moving into the 72 000 ft2 facility in Spring next year.
