Sandvik appoints Jari Ponsiluoma as Product Manager for Heat Exchanger and Fertilizer in EMEA

Sandvik, a developer and producer of advanced stainless steels, special alloys, titanium and other high-performance materials, has appointed Jari Ponsiluoma as Product Manager for Heat Exchanger and Fertilizer, Tube, EMEA.
In this role, Ponsiluoma will be responsible for setting strategies aligned with the global corporation to drive new customers and product development activities in EMEA. His appointment will help promote the growth and healthy profitability of Sandvik in the region.
Ponsiluoma has 10 years’ experience working at Sandvik Materials Technology after first joining the company in 2008. In his position as Global Product Manager for Business Unit Automotive he was responsible for the launch of PRESSURFECT™ and PRESSURFECT XP™, as well as tubing for the next generation of high-pressure Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) systems.
In 2018, Ponsiluoma joined Ovako Group as a Product Line Manager for Powertrain (Automotive and Marine), but recently returned to Sandvik where he will have the opportunity to pursue challenging business areas and develop Sandvik’s position within premium segments.
“It is a great opportunity to be working with Sandvik again. I look forward to reconnecting with my contacts in the industry and developing new strategies to benefit our customers in the tube industry,” said Ponsiluoma.
Ponsiluoma’s experience within product management at Sandvik makes him familiar with the complex business negotiations and business development process. He has a strong business acumen and aims to get involved in R&D projects to drive change for customers.
