Kalium Lakes signs MoU with JYF for sale of SOP

JYF is based in Kunming City, and focuses on the marketing and distribution of liquid and solid chemicals and fertilizers throughout South West China.

The SOP will be sourced from the Beyondie Sulfate of Potash Project (BSOPP). Under the terms of the MoU, JYF proposes to considering buying 50 000 – 80 000 tpy of SOP from the project, which will then be marketed to its customers in South West China, including the Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces.

Brett Hazelden, Managing Director, said: “The non-binding MOU is another strong indicator that international demand for SOP remains strong. This includes the demand from China, one of the world’s largest SOP producers and highlights the increasing level of overseas interest in the development of Kalium Lakes’ Beyondie SOP Project.

“Both companies are looking to establish a long-term relationship that will provide a degree of certainty, in terms of production and supply.

“We also remain focused on supplying SOP to the Australian market and supporting our local agricultural industry.”
