JBS invests in fertilizer plant in Brazil

According to Reuters, JBS SA will invest US$9.53 million in a new fertilizer plant in Brazil. One unit of the plan is expected to be operational within a year.

The country presently imports 75% of its fertilizers, and it is thought that this new plant comes as part of plans to reduce Brazil’s dependency on imports.
