Dmitry Makhonin, acting Governor of the Perm Region, and Dmitry Osipov, CEO of Uralkali, have recently signed a roadmap agreement designed to facilitate further cooperation between Uralkali and industrial enterprises in the Perm Region, Russia. Mikhail Ivanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, also attended the event.
The measures outlined in the roadmap will be between 2020 and 2022, supported by the Perm Regional government and the regional engineering centre.
Makhonin commented: “Uralkali is an important strategic partner of the Perm Region across various fields of activity, and the company’s role in supporting intraregional industrial cooperation will help to strengthen the economic potential of the Perm Region.”
Osipov added: “In 2019, the services and supplies procured by Uralkali in the Perm Region exceeded RUB 13 billion in value, and were derived from more than a thousand enterprises. We are ready to expand our cooperation with local suppliers further, and we are grateful to the government of the Perm Region for its support in facilitating this process.”
In addition, Ivanov and Makhonin inspected residential apartment buildings that will soon be lived in by Uralkali Group employees in Berezniki. Uralkali is currently in the first phase of its housing construction project for its employees in the region, which began in 2018; the company is currently building four housing complexes in Berezniki, and an additional four in Solikamsk, with 730 apartments under construction in total.
