The Mosaic Company (Mosaic) has announced potash and phosphate operations sustained operational challenges that are expected to reduce production volumes and shipments in the Q324.
In potash, Mosaic has encountered electrical equipment failures impacting both the Esterhazy and Colonsay mines. These operational challenges in aggregate are expected to reduce the third quarter potash production and shipment volumes by 200 000 – 300 000 t.
In phosphate, production volumes and shipments during the quarter have been negatively impacted by weather events including Hurricane Francine with an estimated aggregate impact of 80 000 – 110 000 t.
Mosaic is a producer and marketer of concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients. The company is a single source provider of phosphates and potash fertilizers and feed ingredients for the global agriculture industry.
