Taloja starts commercial operations

According to Reuters, Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corp. Ltd has announced that commercial operations have begun at the Taloja (Maharashtra) NPK plant. The plant is able to produce multiple fertilizer grades.

The plant is a brownfield project and is expected to increase the company’s production approximately four-fold (3 lakh t to 11 lakh t). A fully-automated bagging facility is also included in the plant.

Total investment for the plant is reported to be less that Rs.800 crores.
