World Fertilizer,

Minbos Resources has completed a 14-t bulk sample from the Cabinda phosphate project in Angola, targeting phosphate rock material from the high-grade zone (+29% P205).

The bulk sample is currently enroute to the International Fertilizer Development Centre (IFDC) headquarters in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, US, for blend and granulation optimisation, field, and greenhouse trials.

The company is making arrangements to separately ship one tonne of molasses to the IFDC for use in the pilot plant trial.

Sourced from the neighbouring Republic of Congo, the molasses are expected to be included in an optimised granulation plant blend, acting as a binding agent for the phosphate rock granule.
