Trammo, Inc. has signed an exclusive green ammonia supply and offtake agreement with Teal Corp.

The agreement provides for the purchase by Trammo of all green ammonia to be produced by Teal, a Canadian company developing green chemistry projects in the energy and fuel markets.

Trammo will handle the marketing of the green ammonia produced by Teal and its transportation to customers in Quebec and worldwide using its fleet of specialised refrigerated vessels.

The agreement with Teal allows Trammo to secure a supply and offtake of 800 000 t of green ammonia from an ammonia production plant to be built on prime industrial land in Sept-Iles, Quebec, Canada, already secured by Teal with access to existing world-class port and energy infrastructure. The project in Sept-Iles is one of the few in the world to produce green ammonia from hydroelectric power.

At the current rate of project development, Trammo expects to have this additional supply available for its customers within the next 3 to 4 years.

Trammo and Teal are currently working on additional projects in other strategic locations with the aim of increasing the volume of green ammonia produced by Teal to more than 2.5 million t.
