Israel Chemicals Ltd (ICL) has announced that Raviv Zoller has been appointed as the company’s new CEO.

Zoller was reportedly selected by a search committee lead by the Executive Chairman of ICL, Johanan Locker, alongside ICL External Director, Miki Haran, and the CEO of Israel Corp., Avisar Paz. A number of candidates were considered, but it was decided that Zoller was the most appropriate candidate.

Zoller was a partner in the establishment of Apax – Mutavim Investment Bank and founded Ness Technologies in 1999, where he served as CEO until 2007. In 2004, Ness Technologies was publicly listed on NASDAQ and raised approximately US$160 million. This was the largest IPO for an Israeli company on NASDAQ since 2001. Since 2008, Zoller has served as the CEO of IDI Direct Insurance Co. Ltd, which was listed on the Tel Aviv stock exchange in 2013, and has since tripled its value.

Johanan Locker said: “The search committee considered a number of exceptional candidates and selected the candidate with the most appropriate skills to manage the company. Raviv has rich management experience including significant leadership positions in various companies. Raviv is one of the top managers in Israel with proven capabilities, and we are very pleased that he is joining our ranks. I want to thank Asher Grinbaum, ICL Acting CEO, who led the company to excellent results.”
