MAIRE announces new award for urea fertilizer plant

MAIRE (MAIRE.MI) has announced new awards and additional works related to previously announced orders for a total amount of approximately €1.3 billion, with projects located across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, in both the Integrated E&C Solutions (IE&CS) and the Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) Business Units.

In IE&CS, the new awards include a large scale onshore project, to be performed by Tecnimont, aimed at supporting the optimisation of existing oil and gas facilities, including process units and utilities, as well as an upgrade of an existing refinery on an EPC basis, to be carried out by KT.

In STS, Stamicarbon, Nextchem’s licensing subsidiary, has been awarded a licensing and process design package activities for a urea plant. This initiative leverages on Nextchem’s proprietary know-how and advanced process solutions to support clients improving efficiency and reliability across the fertilizers value chain.

Further details will be disclosed in due course, following the completion of certain formalities currently being finalised between the parties involved.
