Azoty Group has signed a contract with Ukraine's Agroprosperis Group for the supply of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) fertilizers. Azoty Group's new contractor is the largest producer and exporter of agricultural crops with the foreign investments in the Black Sea region. The first delivery of fertilisers was made in December, with further deliveries planned for January this year.
Wojciech Wegrzynek, Director of the Commercial Division, Grupa Azoty S.A. comments: “Grupa Azoty has a wide product range, prepared to serve a large and demanding market such as Ukraine. We will confirm our potential in the coming periods by increasing our commercial activities in this direction and developing appropriate logistics solutions.”
The Ukrainian market is one of the key markets for NPK fertilizer sales in Eastern Europe. One of the key industries in Ukraine is the agricultural sector, which accounts for 10.9% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP). NPK fertilizers have a very important role in maximising the efficiency of AGRO production, by increasing yields and realising agricultural production with the highest quality parameters.
Grupa Azoty offers fertilizers from a wide range of nitrogen megAN, nitrogen-sulfur saletrosan, ammonium sulfate macro and select and multi-nutrient. In the near future, these fertilizers will be enriched with micronutrients, which will make it possible to extend their use and target a wider range of customers.
Agroprosperis Group offers a full range of goods and services for the Ukrainian farmers, such as inputs distribution, financing via Agroprosperis bank, logistics, origination and export of crops and their processed products to global markets.
“During 10 years in the Ukrainian market, direct import from key world inputs suppliers has been of our key priorities. We are committed to develop the strategic partnership with Grupa Azoty to ensure timely and quality operations for our 41 farms and for our partner farmers all over Ukraine.” comments Volodymyr Khochai, Director of AP Import, Agroprosperis Group’s distribution business.
