Amphora Inc. is a global provider of commodity trading and risk management software solutions, whilst Phibro was once the world’s largest physical commodity merchant and helped to develop the modern oil market. Today, Phibro is an independent firm lead by CEO Simon Greenshields, who was previously a member of Morgan Stanley’s management committee and co-head of Morgan Stanley’s Commodity Division. The Phibro management team includes other senior Morgan Stanley Commodity veterans, including: Joe Delaney, CFO; Martin Mitchell, COO; and Tom Funk, Head of Trading and Marketing.
Greenshields said: “Amphora was an easy choice for us. They understand our business and are willing to work closely with us to meet the needs of our growing company.”
The President of Amphora, Rick Nelson, added: “Amphora was born from Phibro over 20 years ago. It’s exciting to have them back as a valued client.”
