The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) President Chris Jahn has released a statement applauding Chairman Mike Conaway (R-TX-11) for passage of H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, commonly referred to as the Farm Bill.

Jahn said: “The Fertilizer Institute welcomes the passage of H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, and applauds the House members who voted in favour of the legislation.

“We urge the Senate to bring up for consideration and pass S. 3042, the ‘Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018’, so that both chambers can begin working out their differences in a conference committee. We are extremely pleased to have language supporting 4R Nutrient Stewardship in both the House and Senate Farm Bills and we look forward to working with leaders in both chambers to get a bill to the President’s desk before September 30.”
