CG Thermal expands to second facility

Since 2010, CG Thermal has specialised in providing process technology solutions for harsh and corrosive process streams, serving industries such as chemical processing, fertilizer production, and emerging technologies in the energy sector. Growth of the existing graphite business has opened doors to a wider range of products, services, and customers in the chemical processing industry.

Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic in 2020, the company experienced significant growth during this time, including the increased demand for chemical process and system design prompted the birth of CG Thermal’s Systems Group. In that same year, as their graphite business also grew, they added equipment and staffing to double the resin impregnation capacity, increasing throughput and further expanding sales.

To sustain this momentum and better serve its customers, the company added a second facility in October 2024. This nearly 13 ft³ corporate headquarters includes a crane-served production centre with the capacity suitable for assembly of large modular systems.

While the original building will continue to be a production centre, handling the majority of heat exchangers and small systems manufacturing, the new facility will be dedicated to assembling and testing pilot plants and turnkey modular systems. Additionally, the larger office space will offer greater efficiency for the continually growing team required to engineer, design, and manage the systems projects.

This expansion represents a significant step forward for CG Thermal, enabling the company to better meet the needs of its growing customer base while continuing to develop chemical process technology.
