World Fertilizer,
Casale has announced the launch of a new project in partnership with Anhui Haoyuan Chemical Group, China. This initiative marks another key milestone in a relationship built on trust, innovation, and long-term collaboration.
The new melamine production plant will feature Casale’s uLEM-N technology, with a design capacity of 60 000 tpy, and will be fully integrated into an urea plant operated by Anhui Haoyuan.
This is the third project developed together, following the implementation of two 1500 tpd ammonia synthesis loop plants based on Casale’s N-LOOP™ technology. These repeated collaborations demonstrate the strength and continuity of our partnership – one that keeps evolving toward higher efficiency and lower environmental impact.
At the heart of this new plant is uLEM-N, Casale’s advanced melamine process, which introduces a shift in sustainable design by:
- Eliminating caustic soda usage entirely thanks to the ammonia-based purification.
- Featuring a highly efficient and proven high-pressure synthesis section.
- Using proven urea-based off-gas scrubbing.
- Operating with a zero liquid discharge (ZLD) approach.
- Ensuring simplest integration with urea plants.
- Reducing CAPEX and optimising operations.
Thanks to these features, uLEM-N sets a new benchmark in melamine production, reducing environmental impact while maximising plant performance.
Casale is honoured to continue supporting Anhui Haoyuan in their industrial development. This project reaffirms our joint commitment to a more sustainable, efficient, and future-ready chemical industry.
