Site preparation is scheduled to begin in autumn 2026, with bulk fertilizer bins set to be installed in spring 2027. According to the co-op, the facility is designed to improve service efficiency, safety, and product flexibility for local agricultural producers.
At the core of the new operation is an 8-bin volumetric blending system, which will accommodate a wider selection of fertilizer options, including slow-release nitrogen and micronutrients. The plant will also feature a Procote treatment system to meet growing demand for treated fertilizer options.
Additional facility upgrades include a new fertilizer office, improved traffic flow, enhanced site grading and drainage, and updated conveyors alongside load-in and load-system infrastructure.
The facility has been planned to incorporate automated blending technology, overhead load-out scales, and a bucket elevator receiving system. Co-op officials noted that the design eliminates the need for machinery loaders to operate inside the blending shed, establishing a safer working environment.
