World Fertilizer,
Crystal Green, a phosphate fertilizer, can help prevent nutrient loss into waterways while reducing overall nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide emissions.
Crystal Green can help deliver environmental benefits while maintaining agronomic and economic success. Through extensive collaboration with over 20 universities across the US and Canada, the fertilizer provides benefits across air, soil, and water ecosystems.
As a sustainable phosphate fertilizer, the product has been scientifically demonstrated to reduce environmental impact. Third-party Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and research partners have confirmed that Crystal Green:
- Lowers the global warming potential of crop production by 4 - 11%.
- Enhances soil health with a minimal salt index.
- Mitigates freshwater eutrophication by 20 - 50%, reducing potentially harmful algal blooms.
To date, the fertilizer has reduced:
- 162 million kg CO2eq emissions and 134 million kg of CO2eq from N2O for cleaner air.
- 37 million lbs of phosphorus and 18 million lbs of nitrogen.
