MAIRE has announced that Nextchem, through its nitrogen technology licensor Stamicarbon, has been selected by a prominent international player for a new 3150 tpd urea plant in China.
Stamicarbon’s scope covers the technology license, Process Design Package and proprietary equipment supply.
The project will be based on NX STAMI™ Urea, Nextchem’s proprietary technology for urea production, and will adopt the Ultra-Low Energy (ULE) design to enhance energy efficiency and operational performance. Part of the proprietary NX STAMI™ Urea series, ULE design enables a 35% reduction in steam consumption and a 16% decrease in cooling water usage compared with conventional methods, leveraging innovate high-pressure steam utilisation and advanced pool reactor design.
