Eurotecnica, one of the world’s leading licensors and technology providers for high-pressure melamine production, has announced that Zhongneng Chemical Co., Ltd, a major player in China’s nitrogen-based fertiliser sector, has selected its proprietary Euromel® Melamine Technology for a new world scale facility with a nameplate capacity of 120 000 tpy.
The new plant will reinforce Zhongneng’s position as a key industrial player in China and strengthens Eurotecnica’s position as the reference in melamine technology and reflects continued global confidence in its ability to deliver sustainable and high-efficiency chemical production solutions.
Zhongneng selected the Euromel technology for its outstanding performance, operational reliability, and hallmark total zero pollution feature. The multi-patented process which uses ammonia in the purification section, ensures that the ammonia, supplied by the upstream nitrogen fertiliser complex, is recycled without being consumed. This results in zero solid waste and liquid effluents and reduced operating costs.
“With more than 30 Euromel plants worldwide, licensed to over 20 producers across four continents, this project once again confirms Eurotecnica’s leadership and our commitment to clean, efficient industrial solutions,” said Stefano Sassi, Eurotecnica Executive Director. “We are honoured to partner with Zhongneng Chemical and support their continued growth with a technology that delivers both economic and environmental performance.”
