According to the Economic Times, India, the Murugappa Group’s Coromandel International is looking to purchase Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals, a urea producer. The paper expects that if a deal were to happen, it would be within the region of RS 3000 crore to RS 3600 crore.
A source told the Economic Times that “the talks between Murugappa group and NFCL are currently at a preliminary stage.”
The Murugappa Group’s Coromandel International is India’s largest private phosphate fertilizer company. This arrangement would see Coromandel International becoming the country’s largest fertilizer and urea company.
