QatarEnergy and Mitsui sign long-term urea supply deal

QatarEnergy has signed a long-term 20-year urea supply agreement with Japanese firm Mitsui for the supply of 500 000 tpy of urea.

QatarEnergy will begin supplying urea to Mitsui from January 2026, with volumes most probably to consist of both prilled and granular urea.

This agreement reflects QatarEnergy’s strategic intent to establish long-term partnerships with prominent and trusted leaders in the fertilizer industry.

Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, said: “We are pleased to sign this long-term supply agreement with one of our strategic partners and to strengthen our decades-long relationship with Mitsui.”
