Nizhnekamskneftekhim and NIIK have signed the contract for the development of a new methanol unit with a capacity of 500 000 tpy.

Oleg Kostin (General Director of NIIK), Mr Igor Esin (CEO and President of NIIK), Azat Bikmurzin (General Director of Nizhnekamskneftekhim), and TAIF Group delegation led by Albert Shigabutdinov (General Director of TAIF) took part in the signing ceremony.

The successful construction by NIIK of the ammonia-methanol-urea complex in Mendeleevsk (Tatarstan) opened the doors to new promising opportunities of gas chemistry engineering. This project is an important milestone giving NIIK new experience and providing the possibility to work with famous foreign licensors like Danish Haldor Topsoe. A similar plant is being designed by NIIK in the Tula region.

The work for Nizhnekamskneftekhim will be performed at the newest levels of modern design and engineering following the principle of the single information field and 3D modelling. New digital technologies will help the customer to take an efficient control over the construction activities and create more lean process without any delays in equipment procurement. The field supervision will be carried out by NIIK' s specialists.

Modern plant engineering & operation system can’t be successful without full- scale digitaisation providing safe and reliable operation and efficient monitoring of all process parameters - environment, safety, and control and supervision.
