The plant will be built in 1H21 and is estimated to produce 575 000 t of carbamide, 308 000 t of ammonia and 41 000 t of melamine per year. Casale is the construction project licensor and contractor, whilst Metadinea – a subsidiary of Metafrax and a producer of synthetic resins – will be the main consumer of products made by the plant. The ceremony of laying the first cube of concrete to the plant has now taken place.
Seyfeddin Roustamov, the businessman who controls Metafrax, said: “Metafrax development strategy until 2030 involves construction of new facilities for producing ammonia, carbamide and melamine. One of our key targets is to become the number one in the resin sales market.”
