Acron commissions facility in Russia

Acron Group has commissioned an operations base for Plodorodie-Lukoyanov (a member of Acron Group) in the Lukoyanov district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia.

Acron Group established Plodorodie Agribusiness Holding in 2008 to implement agricultural projects, test the group’s advanced fertilizer brands and improve their application techniques. Plodorodie comprises the following agribusiness companies: Kubris (Krasnodar Krai), Zvyaginki (Orel region), Plodorodie-Lukoyanov (Nizhny Novgorod region) and Plodorodie-Saratov (Saratov region).

Plodorodie-Lukoyanov operates 5000 ha of land, which is set to extend by another 10 000 ha. by 2021. The company is constructing its production base, which includes grain-drying complexes, covered threshing floors and warehouses with a total capacity of 36 000 t. The project’s total CAPEX is over RUB1 billion.

Head of Acron’s Department of Development and Introduction of Agrochemical Technologies, Arkady Sverdlov, said: “the launch of this facility will certainly help us reach a brand-new level of development. The company is constructing new production facilities and purchasing new equipment. The commissioning of the new facility will also improve social climate in the region. We have already created 50 new jobs, and once the facility reaches its design capacity, their number will increase to 150”.
