Ammonia InSite Technology is designed to help maximise the operational performance and profitability of ammonia plants through five modules, which are specialised in the management of production, energy efficiency, maintenance, reliability and environmental compliance. The solution includes performance diagnostics analytics, as well as benchmarking, predictability of outcomes and prevention of unplanned downtime, along with support from KBR experts.
Under the agreement terms, the technology will first be used to support startup and commissioning for PAU’s ammonia plant complex. Then, it will help support sustained plant operations to maximise asset utilisation and profitability.
KBR claims that this latest contract represents the addition of another KBR technology at the 2000 tpd ammonia plant, which is already utilising the company’s Reformer Exchanger Systems and Purifier Technology. The plant is the first Greenfield Purifier + KRES Technology plant to be commissioned.
