According to Reuters, Brazil’s Agricultural Ministry has signed an agreement for a system that will speed up imports of products used in agriculture through the Port of Santos.

These products will include agrochemicals and fertilizers. The ministry reportedly said that companies that will benefit from the agreement include Basf SE, Bayer AG, Ihara Science Corp., Adama Agricultural Solutions and DuPont.
The Port of Santos is Brazil’s busiest port. In the future, the system will also be available at the Port of Paranaguá, as well as Rio de Janeiro.
